Procurement Assessment
The Procurement Transformation Assessment is a structured, fact based process to complete the following:
►Evaluate clients’ procurement capability (i.e. practices and infrastructure) against Best in Class Procurement Practices defined by the House of Procurement, and define improvement areas and actions to achieve these
►Establish and profile the baseline for total external expenditures to be included in the Strategic Sourcing Program
►Evaluate existing sourcing strategies and identify gaps with best in class sourcing strategies and methods
►Determine the preliminary benefits potential from implementing best in class sourcing strategies for the Sourcing Groups identified
►Define and structure the implementation plan and transformation roadmap
Triumph has developed a methodology in which a systematic approach is used to develop an understanding of the your procurement environment to determine areas of improvement and cost reduction
An Assessment is typically followed by implementation of a comprehensive Strategic Sourcing project and / or capability enhancement. During the opportunity assessment, the assessment team will complete the following:
-
develop an understanding of client’s purchasing practices
-
profile the client’s external expenditures
-
establish a preliminary view of the sourcing groups or SGs, including the sourcing strategy and approaches that may potentially apply, and assess current use of these approaches
-
perform preliminary supply market analysis for the SGs;
-
estimate the opportunity for improvement
